In summer, you can hike through one of the most stunning wetlands in Europe, and admire Lake Kitkajärvi, the largest spring in Europe.  In winter, you can admire the beautiful snow-covered trees while skiing or snowshoeing.

The starting point of Riisitunturi is located on the border of the national park. You can reach the starting point through the former Syrjälahti parking area at Tolvantie. Google Maps. The starting point does not yet have an “official address” and navigating programmes might not be able to guide your vehicle to the right place.
