Pahkakuru

The Pahkakuru forest reserve area is an ancient gorge, located by the Oulu-Kuusamo road on the way from Taivalkoski to Jurmu. At the bottom of the gorge, between steep walls, there is a flowing stream. At the edge of the gorge, there is a shelter, and a marked hiking trail through Pahkakuru.
