Nappaskenkä Trail

This 7-kilometre circular trail, marked with blue trail markers, starts at the Taivalkoski Canoeing Centre. About half of the route follows the banks of the River Iijoki, with sections of duckboards and stairs along the way.

There are two lean-to shelters by the River Iijoki: Keski-Väkevä, 2 km from the Canoeing Centre, and Turvakonalus, 4 km away. Both shelters have a composting toilet and a campfire site. Turvakonalus also has a birdwatching tower.
