This trail is about 8 km long, winding along Simonen, incl. the cloudberry bogs of Riitu and the fishing spots of Manne, dropping through Kallioniemi and the local tourism businesses.

The trail consists partly of boardwalk, and alongside the route, there are campfire sites and rest stops, as well as two bird-watching towers, one of them in the middle of the swamp Isosuo. There are great views across the swamp from the top of the Isosuo tower. Along the Simosenpolku trail, you can also come across old cultural heritage sites, such as a meadow sauna, which was needed when workers went to make hay on the swamp meadows for weeks at a time.
